Lockhart’s Mens Grooming Products started with a simple problem: Steve Lockhart couldn't find a hair product that could keep his hair in place while working all day on hot asphalt at a car dealership. So, he decided to make his own.

With encouragement from his barber in Flint, Michigan, Steve began experimenting with different formulas. What started as a few homemade products quickly grew from an Etsy shop into an internationally recognized men’s grooming brand.

For years, Lockhart’s products were made right in the family kitchen. As demand grew, the operation eventually moved into its own apothecary-style workshop in Perry, Michigan. Today, Lockhart’s continues to develop unique pomades, hair styling products, and men’s grooming products with the same hands-on approach that started it all.

For Steve, creating grooming products is more than just business — it's an art form. His background as a painter and artist inspires the creativity behind Lockhart’s unique formulas.

Lockhart’s also believes strongly in building a welcoming and thriving pomade community. Rather than competing against other brands, they believe that supporting one another helps the entire industry grow.
